Mile End Massive 1, Mar 2022
As much of a fan as I am of themed mixes (I'm looking at you, Las Latinas 7) sometimes I just have to put together a compliation of straightforward house music, if only to make a dent in the backlog. That said, there's nothing makeshift or shapeless about this latest mix featuring, as it does, some top producer talent like Sam Ellis, Praise Cats and the always dependable Richard Vission. I have a few more of these to do, so I'll spot them among my other, more familiar themed mixes.

I would have pressed straight on with volume three of Mile End Massive, but I felt that working on another mix so quickly, I needed a change of scenery ... so this - as the name might suggest - features house tunes in a more funky format. I hadn't come across Inland Knights before, but after acquiring a couple of their EPs I can't get enough. No less than six IK tunes on this mix, topped and tailed with the RadioSlave remixes of "Rock your Body" and" Can't Get You Out of My Head" ... Groovy!

Mile End Massive 2, Apr 2022
Not surprisingly, I had a bunch of material left over from the first Mile End Massive mix, so I figured why not use the momentum and build a volume 2?This one is sort of more of the same deep house grooves, with some old favourites represented by Cevin Fisher and Wally Lopez / Dr Kucho and some others that are new (to me) - Neanderthal and Electric Press. I think it came together well, and I have enough tunes left over for a volume three in the same vein ... which works out rather neatly!
