Basement Beats 2, Aug 2019
The first and third (!) volumes of Basement Beats I mixed w-a-a-y back in 2003/2004. Both were remixes of cassette compilations I'd done in the 1990s. For some reason I never did get around to recompiling the second volume in that set. So I figured I'd better catch up with the backlog. And there's some great tunes here which I wanted to hear again - a nice remix of Donna Allen's "He Is the Joy", plus tunes from Ultra Nate, Monkey Bars, Deep Swing and DJ Pierre. And I have enough left over for another volume.

Las Latinas 7, Jan 2020
You'd think I'd get bored with compiling Latin House mixes, wouldn't you? Not a bit of it. And to prove the point here's the seventh in the
Las Latinas series with more counter-rhythm classics than you can shake a stick at. As always, there's a couple of tracks that stand out ... I love the gorgeous, breathy vocals of Malena on "Suavemente", and "Coracao" is a mighty floor-filler if ever I heard one. There's a couple of less latin-y tracks here, but even their disco-influence doesn't seem completely out of place ...

Wicked 1980s Mix, Sept 2019
Here's something different. A collection of 1980s choons requested by my other half. Decent 12" mixes didn't really come along till the 1990s, so most of these are radio edits - that just means I can fit more in a mix. So dial it back to 1985 and enjoy the musical stylings of Jellybean, Lisa Lisa, Cameo and Freeez. And to keep you on your toes, slightly more obscure offerings from disco and funk machines like Fonda Ra, Lilo Thomas and LeVert. Extra bonus points if you've ever heard of any of them.
