Trace Central

TranCentral, Jan 2022
I'm not usually a fan of banging techno stuff, but I had a real hankering to listen to some trance tunes. There wasn't a great deal of material in my vinyl collection to choose from, though I did have a few trancey tracks left over from the 1990s, so at least I had a starting point. The rest I gathered from here and there until finally I had enough for three mixes ...I went for names I'm at least familiar with, so you'll find tracks by Li Kwan, Lange, Salt Tank, Afterburn and many others. See how many you remember.

Dance fore your lives volume 2 cover

Disco Elements 1, Jan 2022
I have used tunes by Disco Elements (producers Rob Mello and Zaki D) on other mixes in the past, but never felt they meshed terribly well with the tracks I was mixing them with. Perhaps the dubby nature of DE material was something to do with it. So my solution was to simply mix Disco Elements with Disco Elements in a mad musical chemistry experiment. I think it's turned out pretty well ... so I might apply the same approach with another favourite of mine, Full Intention.
