Here's a follow-up to March 2005's Smoov Groovs, which also featured a selection of Dre-produced choons. Here you'll find efforts by Snoop, Tupac and 50 Cent, along with Mariah, Kanye West and Christina - this captures the summer mood pefectly for me and I'll be caning this in the car over the next few weeks.

Deeper Underground vol 2, September 2008
I'm especially pleased with this mix. The tunes are a bit more accessible than those of Deeper vol 1 ... especially good is Freil's "West of Motebe" a deep and dubby jazzy kind of thing that sits well among the other cuts. And you just have to love Marshall Jefferson's "Mushrooms" ... proof that the old-timers still have it!

Well, it took long enough, but here's the second volume in The Pulse series ... kicked off by the still brilliant Todd Terry remix of EBTG's "Missing" this continues along a familiar groove, taking in Bel Amour and Xpress 2, and closing out with Armand van Helden's version of "Don't Call Me Baby". Oh, yes ...
